GBYP’s First-Ever Mayoral Debate at Venue 727
Greater Brockton Young Professionals is proud to present our first-ever live mayoral debate, hosted at the upscale Venue 727. This landmark event offers young professionals and the broader community the opportunity to hear directly from the candidates ahead of the upcoming primary election.
The evening will feature a moderated discussion on key issues, light refreshments, and valuable networking with peers and community leaders.
Why This Matters:
The mayor’s leadership plays a critical role in shaping Brockton’s growth and economic future—from attracting new businesses and investments to guiding housing, infrastructure, and workforce development. For young professionals, this is a chance to be informed, engaged, and influential in the direction of our city.
Candidate Participation
The GBYP Mayoral Debate is part of Brockton’s upcoming primary election and is open to candidates who have:
Officially qualified for the ballot, and
Raised a minimum of $5,000 in campaign contributions.
This fundraising benchmark ensures that all participants have demonstrated active community support and a viable campaign presence. By setting this standard, we aim to provide a focused, substantive discussion for voters and give candidates with established platforms the opportunity to share their vision for Brockton’s future.
