Greater Brockton Young Professionals (GBYP) was born in 2017 with a bold mission—to unite and empower the high-energy movers and shakers of the Brockton area. What started as the brainchild of MassDevelopment’s TDI Fellow, George Durante, has since blossomed into a thriving, award-winning network of ambitious professionals, entrepreneurs, and community leaders.

Recognized with the 2017 MassINC Gateway Cities Innovation Award, GBYP has been at the forefront of driving professional growth, fostering collaboration, and creating lasting impact in Brockton. More than just a networking group, GBYP is a launchpad for career advancement, business connections, and civic engagement.

Mission Statement

GBYP’s mission is to be the biggest focal point for social, economic, and philanthropic opportunities for young professionals in and around the Brockton area. By fostering partnerships between the private and public sectors, we create pathways for professional growth, civic engagement, and economic development. Through networking, leadership opportunities, and community initiatives, GBYP empowers the next generation to drive meaningful impact and strengthen the region’s economic future.

  • GBYP (Greater Brockton Young Professionals) is a networking organization dedicated to connecting and empowering professionals in Brockton and the surrounding area. We host events, provide professional development opportunities, and foster community engagement.

  • Contrary to popular belief, GBYP is open to professionals of all ages and industries. While we focus on young professionals, we welcome anyone looking to connect, learn, and contribute to Brockton’s professional community.

  • No! GBYP is for everyone, including entrepreneurs, corporate professionals, creatives, and students looking to grow their network and gain new skills.

  • We host monthly networking events, as well as industry panels, mentorship sessions, and community engagement opportunities throughout the year. Check our Events Page for upcoming gatherings!

  • Currently, GBYP does not require a membership fee, but membership options will be released soon. Some of our events may have a ticket price, but we strive to keep costs affordable and accessible.
