GBYP Receives Official Citation from the Brockton City Council
The Greater Brockton Young Professionals (GBYP) is proud to share a major milestone in our organization’s journey: an official citation from the Brockton City Council, offered by Ward 6 City Councilor Jack Lally and signed by Council President Jeffrey Thompson.
The citation recognizes GBYP “for their work showcasing Brockton in a positive light as a destination through the success of their event, Fuller After Dark.” For our organization, this acknowledgment represents far more than a single event—it reflects years of dedication, collaboration, and commitment to uplifting Brockton’s young professional community.
A Moment of Gratitude
We extend our deepest appreciation to Councilor Jack Lally, who not only brought this recognition forward, but has been an early supporter and former GBYP Board Member. His continued belief in the mission of GBYP has played a meaningful role in our growth and impact.
We are also grateful to Fuller Craft Museum, our exceptional partner in bringing Fuller After Dark to life. Their creativity, collaboration, and shared vision helped elevate the event into one of Brockton’s most memorable cultural experiences.
Why This Matters
This citation affirms the work that GBYP has been doing behind the scenes—creating spaces where young professionals feel connected, empowered, and proud to call Brockton home. Fuller After Dark showcased our city in a vibrant, authentic way, attracting hundreds of attendees and demonstrating what’s possible when community, culture, and creativity come together.
As we continue building new programming, expanding partnerships, and elevating voices across the city, this recognition serves as an inspiring reminder of the impact collective effort can have.
Looking Ahead
GBYP remains committed to advancing civic engagement, supporting local talent, and creating opportunities for the next generation of leaders. We’re energized by this recognition, and we look forward to building on this momentum in the months ahead.
Thank you to the Brockton City Council, our partners, sponsors, members, and the broader community. Together, we’re shaping the future of Brockton—one event, one connection, and one opportunity at a time.
